Bullitt County, Kentucky - July 5, 2024
The low rumble of the distant rolling thunder could be heard beyond the heavy wooden Chapel doors.
With blackened clouds overhead and distant bolts of lightning tearing through the sky, one thing became abundantly clear.
The planned 7-mile procession from the Abbey of Gethsemane to the iconic Church of the Holy Cross would be postponed.
The singing, the praying, and the walking would be replaced by sitting before the Lord in silent, peaceful Adoration.
And it was perfect.
Now. Between yesterday's heat-soaked procession and the upcoming procession at the Motherhouse in Loretto, was a time to simply be…
Simply be with Jesus...and be immersed in His Grace.
I'll leave it at this.
We all seek meaning
We all seek peace
We seek joy…
And we all seek Love.
And all of these and infinitely more can be found in simply sitting beside Him…
Being with Him…
And knowing that this Jesus who created and redeemed you has more Love for you than your heart can ever contain
And so…
Some 2000 years ago, Jesus calmed a storm to reveal His majesty…
Perhaps today He stirred one up to embrace us in His Love…
His Perfect Love...
For each and every one of us.
