Palm Sunday in New York City – Dominican Friars of the Province of St. Joseph
It's Holy Week.
And this will be the first time I've ever covered the entire week's events.
For the past 15 or so years, I was involved with producing an event, but now that baton has been passed.
And I'm absolutely thrilled!
It's Holy Week.
The week that in innumerable ways defines our Faith
And each event from Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday points directly to Christ, our Savior.
And to witness the Church celebrate and reverence each of them…
To be counted among those whose eyes long to gaze upon Him and share in His suffering…
I'll just say this
There has never been a time in history when humanity wasn't desperate for a Savior.
This generation is no exception.
We seek salvation in pleasure, entertainment, power, money…
None capable of delivering us.
They deliver only slavery, emptiness, addiction, and misery.
It's Holy Week.
The week that celebrates Christ actually saving us.
Breathtaking.
Thank God for His unrelenting Love and Mercy towards us and His constant invitation to Communion with Him.
As we enter this holiest of weeks, may we each receive the Grace to grow in Holiness and Joy and draw those around us closer to Christ.
Wishing each and every one of you a Blessed Holy Week, and please pray for those far from Christ that they may encounter the overwhelming Joy of His presence this season.
