Oh Jeffrey thank you for the beautiful description and photos. I'm sorry I can't support you. I pray others can. I hope some young ladies read this and go to join them. I was just ready to close down for the day and remembered I hadn't read your email yet. I'm so happy I didn't miss your beautiful work. I live in Lancaster, CA in the high desert and in Antelope Valley. There are some Benedictine Monks who came from a foreign country to settle at the foot of the mountains near here. Your story reminded me of them. I have been there a few times. If it wasn't so far from where you live, you could do the same wonderful story about them. I pray you can continue with your great talent for many hears. Helen

May God continue to bless these lovely women!

And God bless this work you do, Jeffrey!

I was so inspired by this quote:

"They didn’t save the mill. They couldn’t stop every factory closure or every family from moving away.

That was never their work.

Their work was, and is, to love…

To love God who called them.

To love the Church that formed them.

And to love the people placed in front of them in this little valley, in this particular sliver of time"

There is so much comfort in these lines, and especially the humility of that final line! That is a line for us all to live by! Amen!

Thank you so much for your words, the photos (especially the funny one), and transmitting the "feeling" of this holy place. Yes, this is real. Real life, real prayer, real faithfulness. May God keep blessings the sisters for all they do and for all they are. And you too!

Thank you for this summary segment and the entire series, Jeff. Outsized expressions of faith, and love, are often overlooked in plain sight. Settings such as Baltic are numerous. You’ve introduced readers to a beautiful example of it, and invited us to seek and emulate it ourselves.
