I just read of a Catholic woman in the UK who was arrested for praying in public.

It's incredibly tragic—white martyrdom in the West.

If she's the lady I'm thinking of, she was silently praying ... and one of the police officers asked her, "What is the nature of your prayer?"

What a little gem of an article, and for the photos alone it is worth all the wealth in the world. You are as you present yourself: a man in pictures and words. I actually missed the word “Security” partially obscured by her veil. What caught my eye were the headphones, which is something I’ve been debating, headphones or earbuds, so I can listen to Hallow, for example, while in Eucharistic Adoration. I especially love praying the Rosary with Bishop Robert Barron, which can also be accessed on YouTube, but because of how it would disturb others, I haven’t dared to listen to anything on the Hallow App, except during my 0600-0700 Chapel shift, when I can guarantee you of complete and utter privacy with the Lord.

But then, of course, I read your description of the woman stoping to pray and there was the other very beautiful photograph. And I envied your day being surrounded by Catholics and things dedicated to Catholics and Churches and more. You were truly blessed that day, but methinks you are always blessed every day.

Thank you for sharing, and expanding upon, this little slice of life, so beautiful, so precious, so remarkable for the times. Peace 🕊️

Jeffrey, thank you. This simple post about a simple act, is just what we need to be reminded of in these chaotic times. It’s is the perfect subject to meditate upon as we approach Lent. God Bless You sir! Thank you too for your efforts to tell the story of our ancestors. You get what importance this has for our history. Hey by the way, were you aware plans are beginning to form to begin the process to have Father Andrew White canonized?

This brought me to tears. Also, why are we never taught about the first Catholic settlers. The persecution of our Faith rarely makes it in the textbooks. As a homeschool mom I will teach this to my children. Thank you!
